Why is the circuit limit showing differently after the stocks circuit limit has already been hit? Find a clear answer in this FAQ by 021 Trade.

When a stock hits its circuit limit, trading in that stock is temporarily halted by the exchange. After this, the exchange may revise the circuit limit to allow further trading in the same stock.

Because of this revision, the circuit limit shown on Carbon may change after the initial limit is reached.

On the same day, the updated circuit limits are reflected on the National Stock Exchange of India website after 5:00 PM. On the BSE Limited website, the revised limits are updated the next day at 6:45 AM before the market opens. Trading resumes and operates according to these updated limits.

Additionally, some securities have dynamic circuit limits, which may expand after a cooling-off period once the circuit limit is hit.
