Dormant Account Policy
As per exchange guidelines, your Trading and Demat account may be classified as dormant if there has been no transaction, login activity, or trading activity for more than 365 days.
A dormant account is temporarily deactivated by the broker for security, regulatory compliance, and fraud prevention purposes. This helps protect investor funds and prevent unauthorized transactions in inactive accounts.
Dormancy may apply in situations such as:
- No buy or sell transactions for over 1 year
- No login activity in the trading platform
- No Demat debit transactions
- Long-term inactivity in both trading and Demat accounts
Once the account is marked dormant, certain services such as trading, withdrawals, or transfers may be restricted until the account is reactivated.
