Is the DDPI signature mandatory?
DDPI (Demat Debit and Pledge Instruction) signature is not mandatory, but it is optional and helpful. If you don’t give DDPI, you can still trade normally, but every time you sell shares, you’ll need to authorize it manually through eDIS. This extra step can sometimes cause delays, especially in intraday or quick sell trades. Giving DDPI makes the selling process smoother and faster by allowing the broker to debit shares directly from your demat account when needed.
