Can NRIs open a trading account? What is the process?

Yes, NRIs can open a trading account. At 021 Trade, to open an NRI account, please email us at [email protected]. Our representative will contact you to assist with the account opening process. The documents below are required to process the account opening:

(1) NRE/NRO bank account with a designated bank,

(2) PIS (Portfolio Investment Scheme) permission letter from RBI through their bank,

(3) Passport copy,

(4) Overseas address proof,

(5) PAN Card.

NRIs can trade in equity delivery but face restrictions on intraday and F&O trading as per RBI guidelines.
